 Facilitators are natural teachers and communicators, who provide a supportive relaxed learning environment for students. We believe in the power of knowledge and helping people discover the benefits of ConTact C.A.R.E for themselves. 

ConTact C.A.R.E Equine offer the following courses :
 

 

All courses are facilitated by qualified Advanced Practitioners. 

Camille Nelson is the Equine Director and Practitioner Certifier for ConTact C.A.R.E Ltd.

All courses count towards practitioner training programs offered by ConTact C.A.R.E Ltd.- New Zealand.

ConTact C.A.R.E courses are for people who wish to gain knowledge of an effective and efficient way of working with people, horses and animals in general, and for those who are interested in developing an understanding of ConTact C.A.R.E and the Flinchlock Release method.

Courses are also for animal and human health professionals interested in an approach to working with impact injuries which will complement their clinical work.

Anchor 1
Foundation Level Course- Human.

ConTact C.A.R.E. Human Foundation Courses are a practical, hands on approach to an effective and efficient way of working with people to relieve pain, stress and tension in the body, and for those who are interested in developing a understanding of ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release.

 

The course aims to give a solid foundation of what ConTact C.A.R.E. is, how it works, and the practical skills to find and release Flinchlocked bone.

 

It also covers ConTact C.A.R.E’s benefits in First Aid situations, and the SIMPLE, SAFE and EFFECTIVE techniques to release pressure.

Whether you're just starting out with ConTact C.A.R.E, looking for an understanding of the method, or an animal or human health professional interested in a new approach to working with impact injuries to complement their clinical work; the Human Foundation Course provides a safe, relaxed, comfortable and supportive environment in which to learn.

 

All venues are spacious, have good access and kitchen facilities as well as areas of privacy for individual treatment if required during the course.

  

Foundation Level Course- Equine.

The course aims to give a solid basic foundation for what ConTact C.A.R.E. is, how it works, and the practical skills to find and release Flinchlocked bone in relation to horses.

It also covers ConTact C.A.R.E’s benefits in First Aid situations, and the SIMPLE, SAFE and EFFECTIVE techniques to release pressure.

Whether just starting out with ConTact C.A.R.E, looking for an understanding of the method, or an animal or human health professional interested in a new approach to working with impact injuries to complement their clinical work. The Equine Foundation Course provides a safe, relaxed, comfortable and supportive environment in which to learn.

 

All venues are spacious, outdoors and have good access and facilities as well as areas of privacy for individual treatment if required during the course.

Foundation Level Course- Animal Care.

ConTact C.A.R.E Animal Care courses are for people who would like to know an effective way of helping their companion animals, by learning to release pressure caused by surprise or shock related impact injuries. 

Anecdotal evidence suggests these surprise impacts cause many of the behaviours and loss of movement felt by our animal friends. 


By the end of the day you will have the basic knowledge and practical skills of how to locate and release flinchlocks. You will be able to start work on unresolved impact injuries safely and effectively with your pets and animal friends. 

 

A day only course, these courses show how to apply ConTact C.A.R.E principles to our animal companions. Along with special consideration for how to work with different species, whether they be a cat, dog, bird, rabbit or something more exotic.

Above all, you will realise how SIMPLE, SAFE & EFFECTIVE it really is to care for animals with ConTact C.A.R.E.

Canine Skills Workshops are for people who would like to know an effective way of helping their dogs, and the canine species in general.

The Skills workshop is for people already familiar with the Flinchlock Release method and would like to pursue the Canine Qualification and Canine Skills further in their study of ConTact C.A.R.E and Flinchlock Release.

Anecdotal evidence suggests surprise impact injuries may cause many of the behaviours and loss of movement felt by dogs, in sport, recreation and work situations. 

ConTact C.A.R.E has also been seen to reduce recovery time from soft tissue injuries.

By the end of the day we have the basic knowledge and practical skills of how to locate and release Flinchlocks on Dogs.

Understand the Canine Defence System and how skeletal sensory shock affects the dogs ability to perform well at play, agility, hunting or work situations.

We will be able to immediately apply what's learnt in First Aid situations and be able to start work on unresolved impact injuries, safely and effectively. 

Above all, you will realise how SIMPLE, SAFE & EFFECTIVE it really is to care for animals with ConTact C.A.R.E.

Practitioner Level Course- Equine.

*These courses are for Student Practitioners who have completed foundation level assessment.*

 

Taught over two days by Camille Nelson, Senior Advanced Practitioner and Equine Director for ConTact C.A.R.E.

Equine Practitioner courses are for foundation level students who are in the process of gaining their equine practitioner qualification, or already qualified human and/or equine practitioners who would like further learning working with horse injuries, trauma and/or performance issues to a more efficient level. 


Equine Practitioner courses develop an advanced understanding of ConTact C.A.R.E and the Flinchlock Release method for Equines. Courses are part of the Equine Practitioner training programme and each course offers a different aspect relative to Practitioner level training. 


The course aims to give a sound knowledge of the ConTact C.A.R.E Skeletal Sensory Maps, their function and their effect on the body’s interconnected skeletal system when Flinchlocked.

 
Participants will gain practical effective skills, the awareness of full treatment protocols and a knowledge of what conditions can be treated. Covering horse & rider pressure release, gear relativity, and First Aid for the horse & rider situation. 


Above all, you will realise how SIMPLE, SAFE and EFFECTIVE it really is, to care and resolve performance and traumatic injuries/pressures with ConTact C.A.R.E.

Practitioner Skills Weekend - Equine.

     Each year a Practitioner Skills weekend is available for:

          - Students ready for assessment to become fully qualified Practitioners.

          - Practitioners who are already qualified and want to stay refreshed with the latest 

             techniques and knowledge.

          - Human Senior Practitioners who would like to up-skill their equine knowledge. 

 

The Skills Weekend is for gaining a understanding of the levels of injury, being effective and efficient when working with horses with stress, trauma and/or performance issues at these levels and to upskill with the latest techniques and develop an in-depth understanding of Equine ConTact C.A.R.E.
Courses are part of the Practitioner training programme and student practitioners are able to have assessment for certification on this weekend.
